bittersweet dream

Had a dream about someone and this is the result, written about an hour ago. I don’t normally post on Saturdays but I wanted to share so I hope you like it. If not, then I’ve wasted a few minutes of your day. Sorry about that.

and i can’t remember how you taste

don’t captivate me across the ocean

i need you near, i need you dear

you took the color out of my world

and i hate these shades of gray

i had a dream you were so much closer

but i cannot stay asleep

you’re not mine until i touch you again

you’re not perfect except for me

i will let you down but i will love you
